BumbleLoom Instructions (Instructions also included with packaged BumbleLooms)

Materials: BumbleLoom, yarn, scissors

*Other material options include but are not limited to: hemp, twine, embroidery floss, craft thread, ribbon or any combination.

1. Cut 7 strands of desired material. Bracelet: 2 ½ ft (30 in.) Necklace: 4 ft (48 in.) each strand.

2. Pull all 7 strands through the middle hole and make a knot 4 inches from the ends.

3. Turn the loom over and pull the yarn up until the knot is under the hole and the long ends of the material are facing you.

4. While holding the knot in place by the hole put each strand into one of the slots. There should be one empty slot.

5. Turn the loom so the empty slot is facing you.

6. Count counterclockwise three slots (not including the empty slot).

7. Take the strand from the third slot and move it to the empty slot. Do not force the material all the way down the slot. Just slide the material down until it is held in place.

8. Repeat steps 5-7 until you achieve your desired length.

Tip: The material will bunch at the hole, when this happens give the knot a small tug. This will allow the material to move away from the hole. If you have problems keeping the material in place while you braid, place your thumb on top of the hole or the strands.

Finishing the braid:

1. When desired length is achieved, remove all 7 strands from the slots and pull the material completely off the loom.

2. Tie both ends together and cut off the excess material.
